This research, conducted among 438 senior executives, including Chief Supply Chain Officers, Chief Information Officers and Chief Procurement Officers, explores the attitudes, perceptions and emerging trends in the adoption of GenAI in the supply chain.

1. Strong Adoption Intentions: A significant 76.1% of respondents believe GenAI will add value to their supply chain operations and 75.3% are ready to adopt it. Notably, 37.3% plan to implement GenAI within the next 6 months, suggesting a swift adoption pace.
2. Key Use Cases: GenAI is expected to play a major role across supply chain functions, including data analysis, demand forecasting and inventory optimization. This highlights GenAI’s broad potential to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
3. Concerns and Hesitations: Cybersecurity and data privacy are top concerns, with 72.4% of respondents highlighting them as highly concerning. The biggest hesitations include data security, lack of understanding and implementation cost concerns.
4. Training: Recognizing the need for GenAI education, 86.2% of executives deem training crucial, with 41.7% expecting GenAI training resources to be available within the next six months. This emphasizes the focus on developing skills for effective GenAI integration.
5. Early Adoption: Despite high readiness and optimism among respondents, only 10.6% of companies have already adopted GenAI in their supply chain operations, indicating that, while the sector is poised for transformation, the journey has just begun.
